Students are having a great time on their sports tour of Holland. They have taken part in some very competitive games and enjoyed some excellent sporting facilities.
After being abandoned for several hours, staff took this little duckling to the safety of the RSPCA Rescue Centre at West Winch to give him the best chance of survival. YEARS 7, 8, 9 & 11
This day is designed for staff to teach topics relevant to the modern world such as: Healthy Eating, Mental Health, First Aid - led by the British Red Cross, Careers, British Values etc. Please note Year 7 students should arrive for the day in their P.E. Kit with shorts/jogging bottoms as their timetable involves lots of activity! Our Year 11 students will have a day of revision as well as a session on 'consent' and 'exam stress'. Year 10 students are on work experience for the week.
Actor Frazer Hammill joined our Year 9 & 10 students for a Drama Workshop after they were lucky enough to catch the play, 'Bouncers', in which he plays a lead role, as part of the national tour.
The workshop forms part of a study into the approaches used in this classic tale of a Yorkshire night out which has been re-booted for the 21 century.
A Channel 4 TV programme in partnership with Wood Green Animal Charity wish to explore the relationships and interactions between dogs & people and will follow their stories. For more information please follow this link:

The Sixth Annual Sports Awards Evening celebrated over 130 students recognised for their sporting achievements during the past academic year. Categories for nominations included showing excellent progress in lessons and demonstrating an outstanding ability in specific sports or exams.
The guest speaker this year was sports journalist, Sarah Juggins. She shared her experience of her journey in writing the award-winning book, The History Makers, which tells the story of the Women's GB Hockey team winning Gold at the Rio Olympics.
