On Friday 28th June we are inviting our Cadets, St. Johns Ambulance, Scouts & Girl Guides etc. to wear their uniform to school in support of members of the armed services.
Serving personnel will attend an assembly at 8.50am which will include a whole school ‘civilian salute’.
Great tasting meals were produced in our TNHA kitchen as part of Food Technology Course taking into account planning, nutrition and hygiene. These amazing dishes certainly ‘ticked all the boxes’.
A young archer is using his talent to raise money for those who helped his Dad recover from a heart attack by shooting 1000 arrows with a longbow. Just how stretchy is slime? This was amongst the experiments researched, designed, planned and eventually tested, by our young scientists to prove or disprove their hypothesis. They also investigated, fruit batteries, flame testing and dissolvable pigments in Skittles during this exciting Year 8 Science project.
Some rather fantastic furniture has been produced in our Design & Technology Department. Students were encouraged to use their talents and imagination in designing and making a child’s chair. Using the various machinery, tools and paint available to them, together with lots of hard work, their ideas came to life. We can all agree they did not disappoint with their efforts!
