The Nicholas Hamond Academy hosted its annual Sports Awards Evening on the 8th March. Students were recognised for either progress or exceptional performance in a wide range sports over the past year.
As part of the evening the academy welcomed guest speaker Jade Windley. Jade, presented the awards to the students and shared her journey in becoming a professional tennis player. The overall, TNHA Sports Person of the Year 2017 was awarded to Year 11 student Owen Williams. This was not only for his ability in a range of sports but also his exceptional attitude towards learning.
