Today is the International Day of Happiness and there is nothing that makes most of us smile more than tasty, well prepared food! Students in Year 9 have been busy in the kitchen learning about all the ingredients and preparing these wonderful dishes traditionally served to celebrate Chinese New Year.
This feast is extremely important to the Chinese and all family members are expected to gather together. If for some reason they cannot, the rest of the family will leave their spot empty and place a spare set of utensils for them. Food is something that the Chinese take great pride in and lots of care and thought is put into the menu for their most important holiday of the year. Our students can be proud of the excellent meals they produced and the knowledge they gained.
