Create a gadget aimed at reducing our carbon footprint - this was the task given to our students in a recent Humanities lesson. Students considered the effect of emissions produced by both the general public and mass market and how their idea could minimise the effect.
The project resulted in an excellent and innovative range of ideas with students creating prototype models, posters, adverts and presenting their pitches in front of an audience in true ‘Dragon’s Den’ style. Amongst the results was a redesigned aircraft wing which captured the attention of their peers and teaching staff.
Look out for these budding entrepreneurs in the future!
