Students joined in the award-winning initiative ‘Legacy 110’ project participating in a trip to the battlefields, museums and graveyards of WW1, and having the honour of laying a wreath in the Last Post Remembrance Service at the Menin Gate, Ypres. Sponsored by the Institute of Education, the project aims for each student to create an enduring legacy by impacting upon at least 110 people within their local community, guided by their History Teacher. (Originally aiming for the total number of people reached by 2019 to equal 888,246 – the number of British & Commonwealth soldiers who fell during the First World War). We eagerly look forward to their project!
