Students took over the local council at a recent event organised by Breckland Council. Under the guidance of their mentor Councillor Nigel Wilkin, the students were each given a role within their council team. Several real life scenarios, including answering a telephone call of complaint from a member of the public, were tackled through role play. They discussed issues around prioritising budgets and expenditure and making decisions about where money should be spent. The day concluded with each team having to design and present their own magazine 'Take a Breck'.
